Most of what you see here is pastels & colored pencils. Sometimes one or the other, but mostly both. If I really got into the design, there's a base layer of markers for some of the really saturated areas... and if I used markers, I probably also painted on white gauche for highlights after the pastels and pencils and the first layer of fixative. The outlines at the edge of my figures are always drawn with a hard graphite pencil.
